Building the lines that carry power.
We construct high-voltage transmission lines: foundations, towers, stringing and testing, delivered safely and on schedule.
- 132 kV
- 380 kV
A contractor built around high-voltage work.
MQT builds transmission lines for power utilities and their main contractors. We work on both 132 kV and 380 kV lines, from the first foundation to the last conductor.
Our crews are trained for work at height and near energised networks, and every stage is checked before the next one starts. Clients get a clear programme, regular progress reports and one point of contact.

What we build and maintain.
Everything a transmission line needs between the survey and the day it is energised.
Overhead transmission lines
Complete construction of 132 kV and 380 kV overhead lines, single and double circuit.
Tower foundations
Excavation, reinforcement, concrete and curing for every tower footing, with tests on each pour.
Tower erection
Assembly and lifting of lattice steel towers by trained crews using certified equipment.
Conductor stringing
Pulling, tensioning and clamping of conductors and earth wires to the specified sag.
Testing and handover
Final inspection, punch-list closure and documentation ready for commissioning.
Maintenance and repair
Line patrols, insulator and hardware replacement, and repair of storm or vehicle damage.
How a line gets built.
Every project follows the same order, so the client always knows what stage the line is at.
Survey
Route walk-over, setting out and marking of every tower position.
Foundations
Excavation and casting of the footings for each tower.
Erection
Steel towers assembled and raised on their foundations.
Stringing
Conductors and earth wire pulled, tensioned and clamped.
Testing
Inspection, checks and handover for energising.
Safety comes before schedule.
Working at height and near live networks leaves no room for shortcuts. These rules apply on every site, for every crew.
- Briefed before work startsEvery crew hears the day's tasks and hazards before anyone climbs.
- Protective equipment for allHelmets, harnesses and fall protection are checked and worn on site.
- Permit to workWork near energised lines only begins with the right authorisation.
- Checked at every stageEach stage is inspected and signed off before the next one begins.
